When you pay a lot for a board you expect high quality and that's what I received. I would definitely recommend this board. The size is good for travelling ( and it comes in a nice carry bag) and a good size for tournament play. The checkers have satisfying weight and noise with movement!

More significant than the level I tested at is of course the information I gained, both of the game's well-illustrated content and in understanding my weaker and stronger areas by way of the quizzes. Being 71 years old and a Rookie at page 1, I thought Marc's personality might explain my urge to purchase How to Not Suck at Backgammon. It’s really a brilliant title. And since you asked, the book's cover is as soft as any I've owned. True enough, Marc's writer's voice is indeed engaging, yet it is his underlying organization and clarity of material that has sustained me, so far, to page 134. I'm going to keep on going through Parts III through VI. I'm experienced enough to know that I will forget most of Parts I and II unless I return to them a couple more times. That's more than okay with me. Many thanks to Marc and his team.

[My Dear Gentlepeople Gamers, thank you for soliciting my feedback. Naturally, I expect you to gently disregard, since I'm not even halfway through the book. I've enjoyed writing it much more than the last book for which I wrote feedback; it was some decades ago for Mrs. Lorraine Holloway's Literature course...I think I'll leave it at that. I want to say that Marc must receive appropriate compensation and credit should his material be expropriated by AI. But I understand he is an accomplished businessman, and not the only one among backgammon professionals, so this is likely a moot point. Regardless, no doubt quite a while ago, this concern has been overcome by events.]

Wow - what a beautiful board! The feel of the pieces, the quality of the wood and finish, and fact that we can swap out playing surfaces - all of these elements elevate the experience of enjoying backgammon in our home. Service was very courteous, and shipment to the US took three days. THREE. DAYS. I was so amazed that it arrived so quickly, and we are certain that it will become an heirloom/legacy piece for our family. Thank you guys for being so awesome!

Lovely deep green dice. It's a shame you don't have white precision dice as part of your core stock (would have thought that would be one of the standard colours no?) as I have had to source that elsewhere.

I appreciate the precision engineering and manufacturing of the dice, as it gives me confidence in "neutral distribution." My order was for a single pair to examine before ordering a second, needed pair. When considering two pair are needed, the total cost is a little expensive, however. Would be nice to see a discount offered when two pair are ordered. Hint...

The book reads like a novel. I thought I knew something, but the chapter about how to play a good backgame was really an eyeopener and demonstraties the difficulty and complexity of the game very well.

love the quality and arrived quite quickly.

Brilliant piece of kit, folds away neatly to fit into my tournament case, dice do indeed tumble.

I bought these checkers the moment they were released. Having had the Original series and the Interstellar series checkers, these ones have maintained that same quality. The colours are vivid, in matte finish with a light swirl, which is more subtle in play. Still the same nice weight, and because the finish is matte, these checkers look amazing on the Galaxy inlays. Comparing the sizes, I find them slightly smaller than the interstelllar checkers, and closer to the original series. However, at this price point, one could buy an entire new set. Indeed, I made a second order very shortly after in 4 more colours. Great product from Galaxy and I think this is a winner! It is also great that they now ship these checkers from the UK where I live and they arrive within 2 days.

The dice are truly amazing. I liked the colors very much. I use it while playing backgammon with my friends. Very nice dice. In one of the e-mails sent to me, they said that they no longer ship to Turkey. If only they did, I would like to buy other color dice. If you let me know when the delivery to Türkiye is made without any problems, I would like to buy it in other colors. Thank you very much...
